The Park Church 2011 School Supply Drive

As we approach the coming school year, many of our students may not be equipped with the basic school supplies that will help them achieve academic excellence. As a church we are committed to empowering the community through education. 

YOU CAN HELP!  We set a goal to donate a minimum of 500 back packs filled with supplies and new sneakers to the following:

Angel Tree Families                                      A Child’s Place

Birthday Blessings                                         Battered Women’s Shelter

Summer Feeding Program                           Jump Start

Children of unemployed members

Adopt-A-Schools:  Reedy Creek Elementary,

Allenbrook Elementary, West Charlotte High School 

Below is additional information concerning our school supply drive:

• Filled back packs and new sneakers will be accepted at Beatties Ford and South Charlotte on Sunday, August 7^th, 14^th and 21^st.  Please stop by the ministry table in the lobby.  You may also put your back packs in the barrels located throughout the church.

• August 5-7^th is tax-free weekend.  This would be a great time to purchase your back packs and school supplies.

• You can also purchase back packs and school supplies at a significantly reduced cost online from Dollar Days.  Please visit their website at http://dollardays.com for additional information.

2011 School Supply List

Preschool  (ages 5 and under)

Crayons, coloring book, book (Bible Story book or other), Kleenex, hand sanitizers, glue stick, #2 pencils w/ eraser (1 pack), pencil box.

Grades 1-5 (ages 6-11)

Marble composition book, highlighters, glue sticks, pocket folders (3), markers, pens (1 pack), ruler, wide-ruled paper (2 packs), 1 subject notebooks (2), colored pencils, 3” ring binder, pencil box, crayons, hand sanitizers, #2 pencils w/ eraser (1 pack).

Grades 6-8 (ages 12-14)

Colored pencils, highlighters, 3” ring binder (1), glue sticks, pencil box, pens, college ruled paper (2 packs), 1 subject notebook (2),  calculator, ruler, white copier paper (1 pack), #2 pencils w/ eraser (1 pack), hand sanitizers.

Grades 9-12 (ages 15-18)

Highlighters, #2 pencils w/ eraser (1 pack), ruler, college ruled paper (2 packs) 5 subject notebooks (2), white copier paper (1 pack), calculator, pocket folders (3), pens (1 pack), 1.5” or 2” ring binder (2), hand sanitizers.
